Tools to help run ABnB
In this post, I'd like to share some helpful tools made by other creators that I've been using to improve my BnB/ABnB games.
Loot Generators
One concern I've always had with Bunkers and Badasses' base system is that rolling loot can get tedious and/or time-consuming, no less so in Advanced Bunkers and Badasses. Rolling a dozen items with unique effects does that. If the loot from the session is not plot-critical, I will often hand it down to the players, allowing them to roll on the tables themselves.
But if that does not prevail, then we can turn to the wonders of computers to help us. Some wonderful people in the BnB discord, @Amvi88 and @Rapt0rNL, have developed loot generators for BnB and ABnB, respectively. They can be found here: Link
Stat Blocks
BnB contains over 50 unique fantastical monsters (many of which can easily be reskinned to their Sci-Fi counterparts from the mainline series), but it does miss out on some of the classics: Threshers, Bullymongs, Varkids, and Loaders. Thankfully, many others and I have designed free stat blocks for you to use for dozens of other enemies. You can find this at the BM Vault.
Maps
There are many different programs and applications you can use to make battle maps, thanks to the prevalence of DnD and other systems. I personally use Dunegon Scrawl due to its simplicity.
